MAYO Hybrid

It’s a long way to travel (200 miles each way) and the weather forecast was lousy, but it is still worth the trip up to any Mayo shoot.
I know the course wasn’t SBG rated but it is still challenging. Putting targets behind trees will continue to make life interesting! Mixing 3D’s and paper faces really messes with your head too.
Thanks to Harry, Cornelia and all the Mayo crew for a great shoot.

One of the drawbacks of a shoot following a formula, such as the Standard Big Game, is that it somewhat restricts imagination and ingenuity. In a Mayo special, things are quite different, and I can visualise the course setters gazing (gloating) with satisfaction as they set out yet another teaser for us poor unsuspecting souls.
Never quite knowing what to expect next, and how to tackle the tricky ones, does add considerable enjoyment to the proceedings.
Super shoot, bearable weather and good company made for a grand day out.
